Legislative Support

OTAA tracks legislation affecting the industry, keeps members informed of its impact, and effectively advocates on behalf of members regarding local, state, and federal policies. The Ohio Tire and Automotive Association has a track record of working diligently to protect your interests before the Ohio General Assembly, including:

• Successfully defended against proposed tax hikes (up to $3 scrap tire tax) and local tire registration proposals
• Unanimous committee passage of legislation to allow tire dealers to apply for state reimbursement up to $4,000 for successfully completed employer-funded training of auto repair technicians
• Working to prohibit the installation of unsafe used tires, which give our industry a bad rep

Networking

OTAA provides a forum for its members to create relationships and share ideas through statewide events, local gatherings, and online social media.

Education

OTAA offers business-related educational opportunities, as well as fosters the education of the industry’s youth by providing scholarship opportunities.
